Abstract:This article, which surveys concentration in the dairy, livestock and retail industries, demonstrates that both concentration and strategic conduct have increasingly denied farmers and ranchers the chance to profit from their productive efforts.  The author provides an overview and evaluation of the legal framework for agricultural market regulation in the United States.
